At Hampton Bay Pet Steps, our story has always been about more than just building pet stairs. It’s about love, companionship, and the incredible dogs who have shaped our lives—and inspired everything we create.
Our journey began with our own dogs, who were not just pets, but family. They were there for the everyday moments, the milestones, and even the quiet times when their presence meant everything.
Hunter was one of those special souls. He brought so much joy, loyalty, and personality into our home. His passing on January 31, 2024, was sudden and deeply heartbreaking. There’s no way to truly prepare for losing a dog who has been such a constant part of your life. Hunter will always hold a special place in our hearts, and his memory continues to inspire the care and quality we put into every set of pet steps we make.
Sophie, our sweet girl, shared so many beautiful years with us. She crossed the rainbow bridge on March 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and gentle companionship. Sophie had a way of making every day feel a little softer, a little brighter. Her absence is deeply felt, but so is the love she gave us—it stays with us in everything we do.
Through all of this, Libby has been our steady presence. She continues to fill our home with love, reminding us daily of the joy dogs bring into our lives. And in early 2024, we welcomed a new member into our family—Axel, also known as Ron.
Axel came into our lives at just the right time. Full of energy, curiosity, and personality, he brought a spark back into our home when we needed it most. Now two years old, he has truly grown into his own and keeps us on our toes in the best possible way. Watching him bond with Libby and become part of our family has been a beautiful reminder that while we never replace the dogs we’ve lost, our hearts always have room to grow.
Every product we build is rooted in these experiences. We know firsthand how important it is to help our dogs live comfortably—whether they’re young and learning, aging and needing support, or somewhere in between. Our pet steps are made with love, because they come from a place of understanding what our dogs need and deserve.
